Guided Interpretive Snowshoeing Trips in the Beautiful Rocky Mountains
In the winter everything is different. The trails are less busy, so you often feel like the whole forest belongs to you. The snow absorbs all sounds. It is like you are floating through a magical wonderland on your snowshoes.
The forest reveals its secrets through the snow. Deer, moose, snowshoe hare and other tracks are common and sometimes you can find pine marten, lynx or, in early and late winter season, even bear tracks.
You will learn intriguing facts about the critters of the winter forest from your guide, and, if you are lucky, you might see some of the owners of those tracks.
Our interpretation will shed light on connections between the different wildlife species as well as between animals, plants and their mountainous environment.
From the hibernation of grizzly and black bears to the life of the mountain caribou or the dependency of lynx on snowshoe hare populations and much more. The stories of the Rocky Mountains are endless.
*You will be provided with snowshoes and poles if you don’t have your own.
